BBC says Apple ‘failing to protect Chinese factory workers’

In a report: ”An exhausted workforce” published by BBC on Dec 18th Richard Bilton shares about the poor condition of workers in the Chinese factories (See video embedded below).

Tired and exhausted workers were filmed while they were asleep during breaks on a 12 Hour long shift by an undercover reporter.

Apple challenged and denied the conclusion drawn from the report:

“We are aware of no other company doing as much as Apple to ensure fair and safe working conditions. “We work with suppliers to address shortfalls, and we see continuous and significant improvement, but we know our work is never done.”

Apple mentioned it’s a common practice for workers to take a nap during break.
