There is no denial that a lot of action is happening in the online education space. And, everyone wants to get a pie of this recession free business.
To get a pie in this space Microsoft partnered with HP and Pearson, and will be launching a tablet for higher education purposes. This will currently for the engineering and management streams only.
Having these three major players makes the combo absolutely great. The product coming out of this partnership is a 10.1 inch Omni10 tablet powered by Windows 8.1 and content provided by Pearson and MS office.
This pack is priced at Rs 29,999/-. Acer Iconia W4-820 which resulted out of the partnership of Microsoft, Acer and Tata Teleservices was focused in the audience of K6-12. It was Rs.5000/ cheaper then Omni10 and was priced at rs.24,999/-.
Such evolutions are really a game changer. We saw things happening in the professional education or to be precise certification related education where students who are professionals wanted to learn on the go or learn anytime anywhere. This is exactly where the e-learning became so popular.
The scenario is changing where more and more people would like to study via virtual classroom rather than an actual classroom. The reasons are clear ease of study, zero travel, highly economical yet high value delivered.
Coming back to Omni10 this is a highly customized value for money tablet for all the students in management and engineering stream.
Looking at the cost of the tablet there are EMI options being offered as well to lure students in a limited time offer that ends on June 15.
